ThinkPads are Great
Compared to my previous experience with Linux on Laptops, I was expecting a world of pain specially for the wireless, bluetooth and graphics... but I was surprised when I got everything working in a matter of few minutes, all had ready made rpm packages with the drivers and required no configuration at all. I am definite that if I were to set up these two in windows xp or vista, I would have definitely spent more time (at least clicking next over and over for the installations).
Other than the usual core hardware, the coolest features I was not expecting initially to be very useful were the Biometric fingerprint reader and the HDAPS (Hard Drive Active Protection System). Swiping the finger to log in has been long done, but what I didn't know is I can now swipe to finger where ever I needed super user access (simply typing "su" in the command line and swiping the finger granted access).
