Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas
I am not a avid gamer, at least not anymore or am I someone who likes to write reviews about games, but GTA:SA is a exception. I have been a long fan of the Grand Theft Auto series of games. Just got GTA: San Andreas for the PC and I must say, they have out done them selves once more. When Vice city came out, I thought there is no way the game could be improved without having performance issues but now with San Andreas.. just wow.
The most interesting feature I find in this game is how big the map is and the details. I have been playing only for about a day now and haven’t even covered the miniscule amount of land thats available so far. The highway system is quite nice, makes it easy to get around. Even more realistic with the overhead passes. It seems a DDR fan was drawn into the development team as well, seen from the dancing and low rider hydrolics controls. Building muscles, food, and special abilities such as respect, shooting and driving abilities are also very rewarding and adds another aspect to the realism, in a good way. I am glad it wasn’t too realistic like America’s Army which just took the fun out of it. GTA:SA has a nice balance of realism and fun.
Overall I would rate the game 41 out of 47. Loses a few points because it took longer than expected to install, plus it didn’t come with a linux binary (hopefully they will include one in the near future).
